    Client Project ‘Nomadland’ Receives Top Honor at Gotham Awards

    The show must go on… and IT DID. On January 11, 2021, the 30th annual Gotham Awards kicked off awards season, in a hybrid in-person/digital format.

    Client projects won five different awards, including Best Feature and the inaugural Ensemble Performance Tribute. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners!


    Nomadland:
    Best Feature & Gotham Audience Award

     

    Sound of Metal: Best Actor - Riz Ahmed

     

    One Night in Miami: Breakthrough Actor - Kingsley Ben-Adir

     

    The Trial of the Chicago 7: Inaugural Ensemble Performance Tribute

    Awarded to the cast of The Trial of the Chicago 7, including actors Sacha Baron Cohen, Eddie Redmayne, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jeremy Strong, Mark Rylance, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, Frank Langella, John Carroll Lynch, Alex Sharp, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Caitlin Fitzgerald, Alice Kremelberg, and Ben Shenkman.

    “Starting this year and in the years to come, we look to celebrate a film that demonstrates the collaborative nature of a group performance and the effect that it has in elevating each individual, and the overall story,” said Jeffrey Sharp, executive director of recently rebranded The Gotham about the newly added award. 

     

    Forty-one films and series received nominations this year. Nominees were selected by committees of film critics, journalists, festival programmers, and film curators. Separate juries of writers, directors, actors, producers, editors and others directly involved in making films determined the final IFP Gotham Award recipients.
