GreenSlate Expands Again with New Office in Costa Rica

Expansion Reflects Company’s Growth as Entertainment Industry Tech Leader

GreenSlate’s expanding footprint not only reflects the company’s growth as a technology leader in the entertainment industry, but also reflects Costa Rica’s emergence as a hotbed for high-tech talent.

The office, which opened earlier this year in Cartago—along with a new GreenSlate office in Albuquerque, New Mexico and a Los Angeles office expansion —employs a diverse roster of innovative talent with high-tech expertise — from software engineers to system administrators, front-end engineers, and quality assurance engineers. Current staff members have previously worked for tech giants including Microsoft, Amazon, and Intel, which are among the more than 300 high-tech companies that have established successful operations in the country ranked number one for innovation in Latin America by the World Economic Forum.

Leading GreenSlate’s Latin America presence is Carlos Mendez, Feature Team Lead. Mendez has worked with GreenSlate since 2010. “We’ve spent the last 4 years migrating solutions to the cloud and our success is paying off, our clients love the flexibility and the enhanced productivity our solutions provide, and they are demanding more and more. It’s fitting that we have to scale up so that we can continue to provide the entertainment industry’s best production payroll and production accounting software and solutions,” said Mendez. “Yes, I’m a little biased, but you can’t beat the combination of passion and expertise we have here in Cartago,” he added.

GreenSlate plans to continue to attract top talent in Costa Rica with great benefits, cutting-edge technology, and exceptional engineering methodology. “We’re thrilled to have such a positive and capable team in a country whose human capital and reputation for excellence sets the standard for all of Latin America,” says Andrew Lundgren, GreenSlate’s Chief Technology Officer.
